A Thought On T-Shirts

Or more accurately, a thought regarding t-shirts...

Why do they bother having Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and Extra Extra Large? Wouldn't it make more sense to redistribute the sizes? Say, Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large? It's ridiculous that I, a very small guy, end up wearing large t-shirts. It just doesn't make sense.

That's all. Nothing profound, just something that came to mind.

I'm Crying Watching Sportscenter

No, seriously - watching the replay on ESPN brought me to tears. It really, really happened. The Red Sox won the World Series. I'm in shock in such a good way.

I Have Beer In My Hair

It was getting sprayed around the bar after the last out tonight. I still can't quite believe it - the Red Sox have won the World Series. Wow. Wow. Wow. More tomorrow. I'm too in shock right now.

Stephen King Owns Tom Gordon

Just before Bellhorn went deep off Gordon, I commented that I was worried Gordon might be a lot better now that Stephen King, who wrote the book "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon," was no longer jinxing him by watching him at Fenway. Lo and behold, just after the homer, the camera shows us, sitting in the stands...Stephen King. Huh. Nice.

Welcome Back Kotter

I'm having all kinds of weird deja vus these days. Of course, that might be because I'm staying in a hotel in Westford, the town I grew up in, and working in the Boxborough office for a few days, where I'd worked for the previous few years. Wandering around the office is much like visiting college after I'd left - people saying "Hey, Andy" and then doing a double take. Then last night, mom and I went out to dinner and a guy I went to high school with (and is also a dj here in Boston) was sitting at a table across from ours. Just a little too weird for me. =)

Oh yeah - and the Sox won, of course. They're going to win tonight. I don't have much to add beyond that. But they're gonna win. C'mon - Curt Schilling had his skin sewn together to hold his tendon in place. Think about that for a second - he had the skin of his ankle sutured so that the tendon couldn't move. Just unbelievable. No way this team loses.

Can't Sleep - Sox Will Eat Me

Damn Red Sox - their penchant for dramatic victories has completely killed my ability to switch to an East Coast sleeping schedule.

...not that I'm actually complaining, mind you.

I Will Post Again, Someday

I'm too tense these days - Red Sox in the playoffs == ultra-nervous Andy. =)

That's Just *Weird*.

I'm watching the Daily Show from immediately after the debates (a couple Netflix DVDs showed up yesterday, so I was distracted last evening), and Wesley Clark is on right now. Now, we all know how I feel about Clark. I still think that if he'd come into the race a year earlier, he'd be the nominee - I really like this man as a leader. Anyway - he just said something about "right-wing blogs". Combine this with the weirdness of the classic Larry King blogging moment: (scroll down a bit to find it)

It's a new thrill to me to blog ... and I may become a permanent blogger. In fact, blogging could become my life.

...and then there's Novak and Begala commenting on the debate on "blogs" on CNN, with a link on CNN's front page to the "blogosphere", the conservative blogs playing a major role in the post-debate spin for the Bushies...it's weird. We're not actually that important, people. Get over it.
